Crete is the largest of the Greek islands and Gouves is a perfect base for those wishing to explore it. The Iraklis Apts is easy access to the main road where the frequent bus service can take you along the north coast. Directly to the east of Gouves are the livelier resorts of Hersonissos, Stalis and Malia.

Gouves is home to a golden sandy beach, just 100m from the Iraklis Apts, where you will find an array of water sports. Along the beachfront there are souvenir shops and supermarkets, as well as tavernas and restaurants where you can sit back, relax and enjoy a drink whilst watching the sunset. Iraklis Apts enjoys a superb location direct at the sandy bay of Gouves, which makes our apartments ideal for all kinds of holidays.

There is a main street running through Gouves starting from the main road and leading to the beachfront. Along the main street there is an abundance of bars, tavernas, international restaurants souvenir shops and boutiques.

Gouves is located on the main coastal road of northern Crete, just 20minutes from Heraklion airport. It is ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday. This small and compact resort is both welcoming and friendly. Heraklion is also home to the archaeological Museum, as well as Knossos Minoan Palace, which are ideal for those of you wanting to find out about the history of Crete. Gouves is also an ideal location to reach popular water parks.

Gouves is connected to Heraklion, the capital city, by regular bus service every 30 minutes. Also Hersonissos is in the same vicinity (only 10 minutes by bus).
